We are situated at the small fishing village Watamu, just at a distance of 100 metres far from the beach "Watamu Beach" behind the former "African Safari Club". Coming from Mombasa it is about 80 kilometres north direction and 30 kilometres driving the B 8 before reaching Malindi town.
Coming from Mombasa, at Gede, just behind the petrol station turn right, you will pass Gede and Timboni, then you reach Watamu. At the end of this road comes a junction, turn left, direction of
Watamu old town, you will pass Kalumass petrol station on left hand and a small shopping center and the police station on right hand. Just in front of a mosque called "Al Haddad Islamic Center"
you turn right, on left hand is a big building named "Richland" and at the corner there is "Oil Libya petrol station". Follow the road direction to Watamu town, on left hand after about 200
metres, there comes "Mama Lucys Minimarket". Here, you turn left again, follow the plastered road down straight, until you reach the "corner shop" of left hand. Just follow this road, leading to
the beach. You pass some fish shops and houses in European style, nearly to the end of this road, we are situated on left hand, you will see the sign board on our gate.
Coming from Mombasa by bus or Matatu:
The stage where you get in is called "Buxton" (near Nyali Bridge).
If you take the Malindi bus or a Matatu going direction to Malindi, you drop at Gede, behind the petrol station. From there you must take a Matatu to Watamu.
Matatu to Watamu: Go to the end station at "Mama Lucy Minimarket", there you get out and walk down the plastered "Beach Way" direction to the beach "Watamu Beach". From Mama Lucy Minimarket you will have a short walk of 300 metres until you are reaching our Resort. You pass "Francis Corner shop", some local fish shops and some houses of European style. There comes a sitting bench out of galana Stones in front of a wall with signboard "New Bla Bla road", from there it is very nearby, just 2 more plots. We are situated left hand, just near to the beach behind the former "African Safari Club". Just look for the sign board on our gate.

We are happy to have international guests. Kenyans as well like to enjoy their holidays at our resort. Our Marijani-team is supported by our a couple of monkeys (coming sometime all the way from the bush) who like to sit in our big Kungu trees in the garden, some brave watchdogs and a couple of tortoises.
For families or groups up to 6 people we have a separate family house which you can rent with 3 or alternative 2 bedrooms. There is a cool veranda and sun beds for the garden as well. If you travel with your own vehicle, we have a safe parking place on our compound.

There are kenyan and international restaurants of cheap or reasonable prices in the village. Nightlife takes place in the 2 clubs "Kalahari" and "Come Back Club" at the "main road", places in the surrounding you can reach cheap and easy by Tuck-Tuck or with a motorbike driver. Friends meet for pool billiard, beers, african food or pizza at one of the various small restaurants at the main road or in the village. Others just relax on our open air front house veranda under the stars or reading their novels on their veranda in front of their rooms.
A highlight for scuba divers is the nearby Malindi-Watamu Marine National Reserve. We are working close together with "Aqua Ventures", a very well equipped PADI Centre nearby. They are very much engaged wildlife preservers.
If you are not a diver at all, there are also glass bottom boat tours, picnic trips to the nearby mangrove Islands, snorkelling excursions, dolphin tours and local fishing trips. To make your trip an unforgettable, nice experience, our staffs are pleased to help you to find a trustful, well experienced captain.
Watamu Beach is not only recommended during the day as for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing or having a walk at the reef during low tide (we suggest to wearing plastic sandals for this). Romantic impressions you'll get if you go there in the early morning.
Discover the surrounding by matatu, taxi, Tuck-Tuck, motor bike, boat or bicycle. There is the interesting BioKen snake farm nearby. The famous Gede Ruins, some caves, a butterfly project and Arabuko-Sokoke-Forest are not far away. - Perhaps you like to learn some dancing steps of the Giriama?
Watamu itself is presenting a colourful african lifestyle. There are not only goats and fish in the village, we do also have a modern supermarket with things of the civil lifestyle.
